The short answer
As of the date of this policy, ecomtoolshed does not sell your personal information, and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not use your personal information for targeted advertising, and we do not disclose it to data brokers.
Because we do not currently sell or share personal information in the senses defined by the CCPA and CPRA, there is no sale or sharing for you to opt out of today. This page exists so that the position is stated explicitly rather than left to inference.
If we ever introduce third-party advertising, that could change. Advertising networks typically set cookies that would cause information to be shared for cross-context behavioural advertising within the meaning of the CPRA. If we introduce advertising, we will:
- update this page and our Privacy Policy before the first ad is served;
- publish a working opt-out that takes effect immediately and does not require you to create an account;
- honour Global Privacy Control signals as binding opt-out requests; and
- honour an opt-out in the same way as a statutory request, regardless of where you live.
We will not move to a model that requires a paid tier to obtain privacy, and we will not treat an opt-out as an upsell.

We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months, and we have never sold it. We do not knowingly collect or sell the personal information of anyone under 16.
Cookies set by vendors after you click a link
When you click an outbound link to a software vendor, that vendor may set its own cookies or identifiers to attribute a signup to this site. That processing is carried out by the vendor as a first party on its own site, under its own privacy policy, and it happens after you have left ecomtoolshed. We do not receive your identity, your payment details, or your account data from it, and we do not control those cookies.

This is separate from display advertising. As of the date above, no advertising network operates on this site.
How to exercise your rights
California residents, and residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws, may request to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and how it is used;
- delete personal information we collected from you;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- opt out of sale or sharing, and limit the use of sensitive personal information;
- not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
To make a request, email privacy@ecomtoolshed.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line, and tell us what you are asking for and the email address you used when contacting us. We will verify your request by confirming you control that address. An authorised agent may submit a request with written permission.
We will respond within 45 days, extendable once by a further 45 days with notice to you. Exercising these rights is free, and we do not offer financial incentives for personal information.
Global Privacy Control
We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out request where the law recognises them. Because we do not currently sell or share personal information, no action is normally needed on our side today, but the signal is respected. If we ever introduce third-party advertising, GPC signals will be honoured as binding opt-outs rather than as best-effort requests.
